Southern Indiana Business Awards recognize excellence in local business and economic development
NEW ALBANY, Ind. - (February 17, 2009) – One Southern Indiana is calling for nominations in its 21st annual Southern Indiana Business Awards program, “Where the Stars of Business Shine”. The program recognizes outstanding businesses and professionals headquartered or located in Indiana’s Clark and Floyd Counties. The nomination deadline is March 24. Winners will be announced at a luncheon event on May 14 at Northside Christian Church in New Albany.
The Southern Indiana Business Awards program seeks nominations in five categories:
Main Source Bank Business of the Year – less than 25 employees
Frost Brown Todd Business of the Year - 25 or more employees
Insight Communications Rising Star Award – companies in business five years or less
Greenebaum, Doll & McDonald Economic Impact Award – a company, person or project
Sam Day, Kightlinger & Gray Professional of the Year
Independent judges will determine finalists in each category and select winners based on the following criteria: business history, community involvement, response to adversity, newly-created opportunities, and innovation in products or services.
Individuals may nominate themselves or other businesses. Nomination forms are available online at www.1si.org or at One Southern Indiana offices, 4100 Charlestown Road in New Albany. Upon receipt of nomination forms, One Southern Indiana will submit confirmation letters along with an official entry application.
