Keynote speakers announced for 9th annual Regional Minority & Women Business Owners Conference

NEW ALBANY, Ind.- (February 27, 2009) – On March 4 and 5, nearly 500 business owners and 100 vendors will gather at Horseshoe Southern Indiana for the 9th annual Regional Minority & Women Business Owners Conference sponsored by One Southern Indiana. Unlike any in this region, the conference connects women and minority-owned enterprises to valuable resources, certification information, and other professionals from a variety of industries. Attendees are expected to arrive from throughout Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.
Keynote speakers for the March 5 event are Richard-Abraham Rugnao, Sr. Manager of Government Relations and Global Diversity for Yum! Brands; Mark Scherrens, Program Manager for UPS’s Worldport Expansion; and Susan Posey, Vice President, Training Manager with JPMorgan Chase.
Minority and women-owned businesses certified by accredited agencies should plan to attend a Match Maker’s event on March 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 5 features a full range of conference activity beginning at 7:30 a.m. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, keynote speakers, exhibitors, and a wide selection of workshops with topics such as employee motivation, access to capital, government bidding, diversity issues, marketing, and much more.
