Greater Louisville Inc. Kicks Off 2009 Total Resource Campaign
Campaign’s goal is to develop and enhance new and existing GLI programs
Louisville, KY (September 11, 2009) – Greater Louisville Inc. – the Metro Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the kick-off of its annual Total Resource Campaign. Entering its sixth year, the campaign is designed to develop and enhance new and existing programs of Greater Louisville Inc.
The Total Resource Campaign is a volunteer-based membership and resource drive giving participants a unique opportunity to become more engaged with GLI and the community while fine-tuning their professional development skills, building relationships and having fun. Bill Samuels, President of Maker’s Mark Distillery, and Rob Samuels, Director of Global Brand Marketing for Maker’s Mark Distillery, are the co-chairs for this year’s campaign.
“This year’s campaign is more important than ever. The Total Resource Campaign is an opportunity for everyone to work together in order for GLI to maintain the high level of programming and benefits its members currently enjoy,” said Bill Samuels. “We’re dedicated in making this campaign a success and ensure GLI has the resources it needs,” he said.
Despite the tough economic climate, Samuels believes this year’s goal of $1.4 million can be accomplished. Rob Samuels added, “we have an amazing group of volunteer leaders who are committed to GLI and helping to meet the goal.”
The volunteers will actively recruit new members and sponsors for GLI’s programs and events as well as negotiate trades for needed business services. Not only will the volunteers be helping GLI, they will acquire valuable leadership skills, receive special networking opportunities and compete for incentives.
GLI member businesses of all types and sizes can benefit from volunteering for the Total Resource Campaign. To become involved in the campaign or to find out more information on helping GLI, Lisa Young at 502-625-0064 or LYoung@greaterlouisville.com
